How to install RoninBox on your phone

To install RoninBox on your phone, open roninbox.com/descargar, or accept the prompt that appears at the top of the screen. The app sits as one more icon on your home screen and opens full screen, without the browser bar.

The easiest way to install RoninBox is to open roninbox.com/descargar on your phone. The page recognizes your phone and puts your option first: Google Play on Android, and the home screen steps on iPhone and iPad. The other options are still below.

Your box may send you a link with its name, like roninbox.com/descargar?box=labodega: with it, the “Open RoninBox” button takes you straight to your box. If not, choose your box from the list on the page.

On Android: the Google Play app

On Android, RoninBox is installed from Google Play. When you open it in your phone’s browser, a prompt appears with the title Install the RoninBox app and the Google Play button, which opens the app’s page.

Here’s what to know about the app:

• It’s a single app for all boxes. You don’t need to install one for each gym.
• It’s the same member app you see in the browser, packaged as an app.
• You sign in with your usual username and password.
• If your account is registered in more than one box, the app asks which one to enter. See choosing and switching boxes.
• If you’re only in one box, you go straight in.
• Links in your box’s emails (password recovery, account activation, My Billing or the calendar) open in the app if you have it installed, and you enter that box without having to choose it. You need version 1.1.0 or later of the app.

On iPhone or iPad: add it to your home screen

On iPhone and iPad, RoninBox is added to the home screen from Safari or Chrome. When you open it, a prompt appears with the instruction “Tap the share icon and then "Add to Home Screen"”.

1. Open RoninBox in Safari or Chrome.
2. Tap the Share button. In Chrome, it’s next to the address bar.
3. Choose Add to Home Screen. If you don’t see it, scroll the list or tap “View more”.
4. Tap Add and open RoninBox from its icon.

On your computer

On a computer with Chrome, you may see the Install the app prompt with the Install button: click it and confirm to have RoninBox as one more app.

To dismiss any of these prompts, tap the ×. It will appear again after seven days. The prompts don’t appear if you’ve already opened RoninBox from the installed icon or from the app.

Common mistakes

• I’m looking for the Install button on my iPhone. There isn’t one: on iPhone, you add it from Safari or Chrome with the Share button.
• I opened the link from WhatsApp or Instagram and can’t install it. Those apps open pages in their own browser. Open it in Safari or Chrome from their menu (··· and “Open in browser”).
• The prompt doesn’t appear anymore. You closed it recently or you already have it installed.
