How to cancel a booking in RoninBox
To cancel a booking in RoninBox, open the class in the calendar and tap Cancel. Your spot is freed up for another member and, if you do it in time, you get the credit back. If your gym charges something for canceling, the class page tells you beforehand what it costs you.
How to cancel
Section titled “How to cancel”-
Open Calendar and tap the class you’re signed up for.
-
Tap Cancel.
-
The cancellation is instant: you no longer appear on the list and, if your gym doesn’t penalize it, the credit goes back to your account.
What it costs you and until when you can cancel
Section titled “What it costs you and until when you can cancel”When you’re signed up for a class, its page tells you what canceling would cost you at that moment. For example: “If you cancel now: +1 min on your next booking window.” If canceling costs nothing right now, this doesn’t appear.
Your gym can set a point after which you can no longer cancel yourself. After that point, the Cancel button disappears and the class page explains why, for example: “You can no longer cancel: the deadline ended at 5:30 PM. If you can’t make it, let your gym know.” You also can’t cancel a class the gym has closed or one that has already started. In those cases, talk to your gym.
If it’s your trial class, you won’t see the button either: the class shows "Trial class: only the gym can change or cancel it.". If you can’t make it, let your gym know so they can change or cancel it.
When canceling has a cost
Section titled “When canceling has a cost”Some gyms charge something for canceling: a few minutes’ delay on your next booking opening, the class credit, or both. They decide this in their booking rules, and it can depend on how much notice you give: for example, one minute for any cancellation and the credit if you cancel in the last hour.
The Cancel button cancels instantly, whether it costs you or not: you’ve already seen what it costs on the class page. A cancellation can’t be undone.
What the penalty does
Section titled “What the penalty does”- It delays your next weekly opening. If your gym opens bookings for the following week on a specific day and time, they open for you a few minutes later, just once. If you cancel several times before that opening, the delays add up. Other members aren’t affected. It doesn’t change what you can already book for the current week.
- It can take away your credit, if your gym has turned this on. In that case the credit doesn’t come back and you can’t sign up again for that same class. Other classes aren’t affected.
- The spot is always freed up, with or without a penalty.
When you cancel, the app shows you a notice with what was applied, for example “You’ve canceled. You lose the credit and your next opening is delayed 30 min.”
Common issues
Section titled “Common issues”- I want to sign up again and can’t. If you lost the credit for that class, the app tells you and won’t let you book it again.
- The button is gone. The class page tells you why: your gym’s deadline passed, the class is closed, or it has already started.
- It’s my trial class and I can’t cancel. That’s on purpose: ask your gym to change or cancel it.
